Below are a few tours that we have planned with our travel agency Viajes Chiapas. All tours leave from and return to San Cristobal. On the links below, you can download the pdf that have more in depth information of each tour. Prices are based on groups of 10, and will vary depending on the amount of people that sign up. We are suggesting the best dates for each tour so it is easier for the most people to attend together, however, if you would like to change the dates or have private tours feel free to request it from the agency.

**LAS CASCADAS DE AGUA AZUL (THE WATERFALLS OF AGUA AZUL)**

TOUR 1: SUN. NOV 22 - TUES NOV. 24

agua azul, misol ha, BONAMPAK, YAXCHILAN AND PALENQUE

In order to take this tour you must arrive to San Cristobal on Saturday the 21st, or fly directly to Palenque on Sunday the 22nd, and skip the first portion of the trip (the waterfalls).

TOUR 2: MON. NOV 23 - TUES NOV. 24

This tour is similar to the previous, except without Yaxchilan and Bonampak. This tour leaves on Monday morning, and joins the group that left on Sunday morning for the final part of the tour.

TOUR 3: MON NOV. 23 OR TUES. NOV 24TH

TONINA

The Tonina Ruins are a day trip from San Cristobal. Total trip time is about 8 hours.

TOUR 4: WED. nov 25th

CHIAPA DE CORZO Y EL CAÑON DEL SUMIDERO (SUMIDERO CANYON)

This tour is a day trip from San Cristobal. Total trip time is about 8 hours.

TOUR 5: thurs. nov. 26th

SAN JUAN CHAMULA and zinacantan

One of the largest autonomous indigenous communities in the world, San Juan Chamula (pop. 60,000) is just a few miles from San Cristóbal but in many ways a world apart. The church here has no pews, no altar, and the priest was expelled decades ago for meddling with local customs. Statues of the saints remain, but the nave is used for elaborate ceremonies involving candles, eggs, live chickens and — oddly — Coca-Cola.
